STANLER FARMS COMPOST in JOHANNESBURG

Johannesburg gardens work hard. Summer storms wash nutrients out of the soil, dry winters bake it hard, and new developments often leave little more than compacted subsoil. Stanler Farms delivers weed-free organic compost across Johannesburg and Midrand from our Gauteng yard to put life back into your soil.

Our compost starts as mushroom compost, a mix of kraal manure, wheat straw and peat. We have been recycling it into quality growing media since 1985, and it is made to an exact recipe, so you know what you are getting, load after load.

Our Gauteng yard

Johannesburg and Midrand compost orders are delivered from our Gauteng yard on Summit Road in Knoppieslaagte, Centurion. We deliver to all Johannesburg and Midrand suburbs, and you are welcome to collect from the yard.

Why Joburg Gardeners Choose Our Compost

Richer Soil

Our compost is high in nitrogen, phosphate and potassium and contains a wide range of micronutrients. It naturally increases the humus in your soil, which grows the microbes that release nutrients to your plants.

Better Water Use

Compost helps clay soil drain and sandy soil hold moisture, so your garden copes better with the Highveld’s dry winters and gets more from every summer downpour.

Weed-Free

Our compost is weed-free, so you add nutrients and organic matter to your beds without adding a new weed problem.

Mix 2.5 to 5 cm of compost into your beds before planting, add a thin layer around established plants, and use spring to prepare your beds for the growing season. Contact us to order compost for your Johannesburg garden or project.
