compost-enriched topsoil for joburg gardens
STANLER FARMS TOPSOIL in JOHANNESBURG
Our topsoil is a blend of 30 percent compost and 70 percent topsoil. The compost adds nutrients and organic matter, which helps Highveld soil hold moisture through the dry winter months and drain better when the summer storms arrive.
Many Johannesburg gardens sit on compacted or clay-heavy ground after building work or years of use. Adding compost-enriched topsoil improves the structure of that soil and gives new plants a fertile layer to root into. For new beds, build up a layer of 15 to 20 cm.
Not sure whether you need topsoil or lawn dressing? Topsoil is for filling, levelling and planting. If your lawn is lumpy, tired or patchy, our lawn dressing is the better choice.
