Use it to fill and level, to build new beds and to improve sandy or compacted ground. We deliver in bulk from our Cape Town and Gauteng yards.

What is in Stanler Farms topsoil?

What is topsoil used for?

Filling and levelling, building new beds, starting vegetable patches and improving sandy or compacted soil.

How deep should topsoil be for a new bed?

Build up a layer of 15 to 20 cm for new beds.

Topsoil or lawn dressing?

Topsoil is for filling, levelling and planting. If your lawn is lumpy, tired or patchy, our lawn dressing is the better choice. See the differences between lawn dressing and topsoil.

How much topsoil do I need?

Multiply the area in square metres by the depth in metres. For example, a 10 m² bed at 15 cm deep needs 1.5 m³. Use the calculator above for your own project.

Do you deliver topsoil?

Yes. We deliver from our Cape Town yard in Durbanville and from our Gauteng yard in Centurion, which serves Johannesburg, Midrand, Centurion and Pretoria. Call the nearest yard for a quote.
